Anti-Fraud & Invalid Traffic Policy
This Anti-Fraud and Invalid Traffic Policy sets out the rules, criteria, and procedures adopted by Pharoll to prevent, detect, analyze, mitigate, and respond to fraudulent activity, invalid traffic, manipulation of metrics, and other forms of abuse that may compromise the integrity of the platform. This Policy applies to all Pharoll users, including Agent and Business users, and forms an integral part of the platform’s Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Policy governs, in particular:
- the detection of fraudulent activity;
- the validation of performance metrics;
- the protection of the platform’s integrity, reliability, and security;
- the review of suspicious activity; and
- the prevention of manipulation of campaigns, operational results, interactions, and payments.
This Policy applies to the website, web application, mobile application, internal systems, links, campaigns, metrics, accounts, interactions, and all other elements associated with Pharoll’s operations.
Given the potentially international nature of the platform, this Policy may be applied with regard to the laws, regulatory requirements, risk profile, and relevant anti-fraud practices of the country or market concerned.
2. General Principles
Pharoll operates on the basis of performance metrics, including, where applicable, clicks, views, interactions, conversions, and other operational indicators.
To ensure the integrity of the system:
- only legitimate activity that has been validly determined may be considered eligible for operational or remunerative purposes;
- any attempt to manipulate, falsify, distort, or artificially inflate metrics is prohibited; and
- Pharoll reserves the right to validate, adjust, exclude, correct, or recalculate metrics whenever necessary to ensure platform reliability, prevent fraud, correct errors, or reflect later validation.
Metrics displayed on the platform may be provisional until final validation, internal audit, or the conclusion of verification procedures.
3. Definition of Invalid Traffic and Fraudulent Activity
Invalid traffic, fraudulent activity, or inauthentic activity means any interaction, usage pattern, promotional mechanism, or behavior that does not represent genuine, legitimate interest in compliance with platform rules.
This includes, without limitation:
3.1. Improper Automation
- bots;
- automated scripts;
- emulators; and
- software designed to generate artificial traffic, clicks, views, conversions, or interactions.
3.2. Artificial Manipulation
- click farms;
- coordinated networks;
- click exchange schemes;
- creation or use of fake accounts; and
- coordinated activity intended to artificially inflate results.
3.3. Misleading or Abusive Incentives
- hidden rewards for clicks, views, or interactions;
- non-transparent incentives;
- forced traffic; and
- dissemination schemes that induce artificial or non-genuine interactions.
3.4. Anomalous Behavior
- artificial traffic spikes;
- repetitive patterns incompatible with legitimate use;
- unrealistic conversion rates;
- inconsistencies between source, behavior, and results; and
- technically suspicious or statistically anomalous activity.
3.5. Deceptive or Hidden Techniques
- automatic redirects;
- hidden iframes;
- invisible loading of links;
- automatic interaction triggers; and
- techniques intended to conceal or inflate activity.
3.6. Other Forms of Abuse
- misuse of third-party channels or accounts;
- manipulation of campaigns or platform rules;
- attempts to circumvent validation, security, or detection mechanisms; and
- any practice that compromises the reliability of metrics, the remuneration model, or platform integrity.
4. Detection and Validation Methods
Pharoll may use proprietary and/or third-party systems to prevent, detect, investigate, and validate suspicious activity, including through:
- traffic pattern analysis;
- anomaly detection;
- correlation of technical and operational data;
- identification of suspicious behavior;
- analysis of consistency between activity, traffic sources, and results; and
- review of events, logs, sessions, and security signals.
For this purpose, Pharoll may rely, in particular, on:
- algorithmic analysis;
- manual review;
- anti-fraud tools;
- risk scoring systems; and
- technical checks and internal audits.
Without disclosing sensitive internal criteria, Pharoll may consider indicators such as:
- traffic origin and quality;
- timestamps and interaction frequency;
- repetitive patterns;
- IP, browser, device, session, or other technical signals;
- consistency between observed activity and expected behavior; and
- indicators of automation, artificial coordination, or manipulation.
5. Validation of Metrics
Pharoll reserves the right to determine the validity of metrics recorded on the platform based on its internal systems, review procedures, available technical information, and reasonable operational criteria.
For this purpose, Pharoll may, in particular:
- exclude invalid traffic;
- invalidate ineligible interactions;
- recalculate results;
- review metrics retroactively;
- correct technical, operational, or attribution errors; and
- reclassify activity after later validation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, metrics made available on the platform are purely indicative until final validation.
6. Preventive Measures and Operational Impact
Where there is well-founded suspicion, anomaly detection, the need for additional verification, or a risk to platform integrity, Pharoll may adopt proportionate preventive measures, including:
- temporary limitation of platform features;
- enhanced review of campaigns, accounts, or activity;
- temporary suspension of campaigns;
- preventive withholding of payments;
- flagging activity for additional validation; and
- temporary suspension of the account.
These measures may be adopted even before fraud is definitively confirmed where necessary to protect the platform, users, partners, or the reliability of metrics.
7. Impact on Payments and Remuneration
Where there are reasonable signs of invalid traffic, fraud, ineligible activity, contractual breach, or the need for additional validation, Pharoll may:
- suspend payments;
- withhold amounts on a preventive basis;
- cancel remuneration associated with invalid or ineligible activity;
- reverse provisionally attributed earnings; and
- adjust values based on later review.
The adoption of these measures will depend, in particular, on the seriousness of the case, the information available, the impact on system integrity, and the need to complete internal checks.
Where invalid, fraudulent, or ineligible activity is confirmed, Pharoll may maintain the adopted measures and make any adjustments it deems appropriate under the Terms and Conditions, applicable policies, and applicable law.
8. Suspension, Investigation, and User Cooperation
In case of suspected fraud or invalid traffic, Pharoll may:
- suspend accounts;
- limit platform features;
- block campaigns;
- freeze certain operational flows;
- initiate an internal investigation; and
- request explanations, documentation, or additional materials.
During the investigation period:
- payments may be withheld;
- metrics may be reviewed;
- campaigns may be paused; and
- access to certain features may be restricted.
Users must cooperate in good faith with verification and investigation procedures whenever legitimately requested to do so.
9. Consequences of Confirmed Fraudulent Activity
Where Pharoll concludes, on the basis of the information available, that there has been fraudulent activity, invalid traffic, manipulation of metrics, or another material violation of this Policy, it may apply, separately or cumulatively, measures such as:
- exclusion of metrics;
- cancellation of activity;
- cancellation of earnings;
- suspension or closure of the account;
- restriction of future access to the platform;
- communication to relevant partners;
- communication to competent authorities; and
- exercise of legal rights, including recovery of amounts or claims for damages where applicable.
The measures adopted may vary according to seriousness, recurrence, economic impact, risk to the platform, the user’s degree of cooperation, and the existence of intent.
10. User Responsibilities
Users undertake to:
- use only legitimate means of promotion, distribution, and interaction;
- refrain from manipulative, artificial, or fraudulent practices;
- comply with the Terms and Conditions and applicable policies;
- not circumvent security, validation, or control mechanisms; and
- cooperate in legitimate investigations conducted by Pharoll.
Users may be held responsible for activity carried out through their account, links, campaigns, promotional mechanisms, or channels under their control, as well as for third-party conduct they have encouraged, coordinated, authorized, or facilitated.
11. Pharoll’s Rights and Powers
Pharoll reserves the right to:
- define and update criteria for fraud detection and prevention;
- review, adapt, or reinforce validation methods;
